Thank you for your interest in supporting SHPE San Diego and our community with your time and effort. We understand that everyone has different levels of time availability and commitment. That is why we have set up the ability to subscribe for notifications on the types of activities you are able to participate in.
There are two different types of volunteer opportunities:
- One day or a few hours of involvement for an event. Volunteering can range from speaking on a panel, event preparation tasks, hands on work at an outreach event, to job shadowing and more.
- Long term involvement through event planning and committee membership. We have several events to plan every year (e.g. Professional Networking, STEM outreach, and Student Development events) that always need support. Involvement in just one event is of benefit!
